New Year! New Trends!

We gathered five trends we believe will be all the hype in 2023! While these are all very cool design styles, always remember: You should always stay true to yourself and your brand, but if you want to spice things up, you know where to find us!

Trippy Design: Funky is in!

Move over Rick and Morty, it is our turn to distort reality. With rebellious colors and a mashing of fiction and reality, trippy design can easily make you feel like you are in a fever dream (in a good way, we promise).

In the surrealist style, there are no rules! The main characteristic of this trend include funky made up characters, bright colors, and images that evoke both the designer's and the viewer's imagination!

Neon & Abstract Cartoon Stickers: Funky continued!

2023 is already iconic when it comes to colors and allowing designers to really have fun with their work while bringing their unfiltered imagination to the table.

You may have seen these digital stickers before, but we think they are going to take over this year! Since stickers first became a thing, they have been an easy, accessible way to personalize your life and in the digital age, this is still the case.

Stickers have taken a turn for the better and are now available in a greater variety of color, shape, and style than ever before! We are betting that in 2023, neon is the move.

The Clean Style: For the minimalist.

If neon and melting smiley faces are not quite your thing, do not fret! With the rise of the "clean girl" aesthetic on Instagram and TikTok the past few years, it is only natural that clean design would also be a fan favorite.

This style is very clutter-free, leaving out patterns, decoration and ornaments. This kind of design makes for a very sophisticated, elegant and minimalistic look, putting your product or brand in the center-stage as the main focus.

It truly steps away from the first two items in this list and uses white, neutrals and pale shades as its primary colors. Do not worry because clean does not equal boring! This design style can be used for a magnitude of things as it actually makes for very memorable products.

The Clay Look: A bit nostalgic!

Perfect is out, and clay is in. Turns out that humans feel more captured by imperfect things, who would have thought? After the type around 3D animation calmed down a bit, we actually found that the glossy and smooth look of classic digitally rendered animation gave way for more bumpy surfaces made by a digital technique or real plasticine.

This trend is very wholesome, and reminds us that true beauty lies in imperfection. Much like humans, clay is always changing and taking new shapes. We just love this one.

The 3D Memphis Style: Throwback to the 80s.

The Memphis art movement makes a return in 2018 through digital art! This bold style merges bright colors with geometric and abstract shapes, making it a treat for your eyes!

This experimental design style tends to play with visual elements to bring the extraordinary into the ordinary.

Here is to 2023

We are so excited for another year of creativity, experimentation, and FUN! If any of these trends tickle your fancy we would love to discuss them with you and find a functional way to incorporate them into your brand!
